Surviving COVID with my support system

Christina is grateful for…

I got COVID in NYC in March, and am still suffering effects from it all these months later. That’s the bad news. The good news is when I got sick, my friends kicked into high gear and did what they could to help me. Because of social distancing, there wasn’t much one on one, but I was barraged with messages via social media and emails, calls, care packages through the mail, and a church brought over meals and left it outside almost every day. All the well-wishes (and some key decision-making from my husband) kept me alive, I believe. Having a support system is so important. I’ll forever be grateful for all the love, prayers, and well wishes. I’m very grateful to be alive. The picture is January, while I was in the hospital, and now. Even though the “now” isn’t so pretty, I have the hope of better health and better days to come 🙂 And that “now” is better than the alternative! )
