This year has been trying, but I’m grateful for all of the opportunities that have come since the pandemic started. I am grateful for my family, friends, and my support system

Good Health and Safekeeping

Chollet is grateful for…

I am grateful for all of the many blessings of this life – especially for the good health and safekeeping of me and all of my loved ones – family and friends. May angels surround us always wingtip to wingtip!

so very much!

Wow- 2020-who would think we would be living in the days of a pandemic. I think we all thought that those happened long ago. While I may have my share of disappointments in this year- I think what keeps me grounded are the simple things like the sunshine, fresh air, & change of seasons. I started a garden this year- it may not have been perfect but it was yummy! Even if it is just the sunshine or a simple breath of fresh air- I am grateful. I have always been grateful for my family, friends, my work family and my puppies- and probably am even more grateful now. While I am most definitely hug deficient- I know that we will all get our lives back hopefully someday soon-and I know I won’t lose sight of the little things that can make me smile and warm my heart.

Spending time with my family!

Dana is grateful for…

Being apart from so many people during these past 8 months has been so challenging. Recently, I got to drive to Tennessee from Florida to spend a few days with some of my family. It was most incredible. We got to play with the kids, cook, share stories and go for a hike. Seeing the joy in kids always brightens my life!

Owning a newspaper in a community that needs me, Selma, Alabama

Cindy is grateful for…

I am Cindy Fisher and I own a weekly newspaper in Selma, Alabama. I am grateful to own a newspaper, which has been a dream since I was 14, and I am grateful that I own a newspaper and can practice my profession of journalism in a community that desperately needs me. My newspaper, the Selma Sun, runs positive and informative stories to lift spirits and the economy in the underserved Black Belt region of Alabama. As a single mom for six years, I didn’t think I could afford to own my own business in a difficult industry like newspapers. But Selma residents were so hungry for good news, they have embraced the Selma Sun and we grow readers and advertisers every month.

My family, dance team, good health, incredible sisters, Jesus

Casey Margarite is grateful for…

2020 wasn’t the best year for many reasons, but it was the base year. The year we looked at our lives and learned what was most important. For me that was serving well, loving well and spending time with my family.

My family. Breath in my lungs. Joy even in the pit falls of life.
