In January 2020, my mom turned 100! Because her birthday was pre-COVID, we were able to hold a party, gathering friends and family from across the country. When lockdown happened and her assisted living facility was shut down, we weren’t able to see her in person for many months. Then, she came down with COVID and we feared the worst. Miraculously, mom fully recovered and is getting close to her 101st birthday! This photo is from our sweet reunion — the first time we were physically together in six months. For such a challenging year, I am so grateful for the many blessings God has showered on us, especially the life of my mom.
